Youth and talent around the piano!
.
To kick off this special fifth anniversary year of our Festival, we have chosen to call upon Nicolas Bringuier, artistic director of our Samson François International Competition.
He will be our guest on March 2 at Salle Cortot in Paris for an anniversary concert dedicated to Chopin, a composer particularly cherished by Samson François.
But we haven't forgotten our loyal audience on the French Riviera... and for all of you, Nicolas will be at the Salon Massena at the racecourse on Saturday, March 14, at 6 p.m. for a recital also entirely dedicated to Chopin.
So, wherever you are in March, join us to celebrate the start of a new season for our Festival!
See you soon
"Between Shadow and Light"
A piano odyssey celebrating Chopin
with Nicolas Bringuier, Piano
Nicolas Bringuier dedicates this recital to Frédéric Chopin with an ambitious and contrasting program that reveals all the facets of his pianistic genius. From the feverish narrative of the First Ballade to the sombre gravity of the Polonaise in C minor, the journey begins with intense and dramatic romanticism. The Second Sonata, with its famous Funeral March, displays a striking and visionary architecture. After the intermission, the Nocturnes Op. 62 offer a moment of suspension and pure poetry, before the monumental momentum of the Third Sonata, the pinnacle of maturity and virtuosity. A professor at the École Normale de Musique and artistic director of the Samson François International Piano Competition, Nicolas Bringuier invites us, through this demanding program, to immerse ourselves deeply in the world of Chopin, between introspection, passion, and grandeur.
