A young musician who is attracting a great deal of interest on the biggest national and international stages, Rodolphe, with his "sure" hands and irreproachable technique, will move us above all thanks to his unparalleled musical intelligence.
We're delighted to welcome this complete artist of such great sensitivity to the opening night of our Festival.
He'll be sure to get us off to a flying start over the next 10 days, during which the spotlight will be on youth and talent!

We invited Nour back in 2023, at the second edition of Les Nocturnes du Piano.
She had just graduated from Sciences Po and, a few months later, was nominated for the Victoires de la musique award....
Her career took off at an incredible rate, and she has since toured the world's greatest stages.
When we asked her to return for the 2025 edition, she didn't hesitate for a moment ...

We discovered Dmytro at the Concours International Samson François 2024. A rather shy young man entered the hall, took a few steps up to the piano and there, a metamorphosis took place.... We all fell under the spell of this remarkable musician with an exceptional touch.
Sensitivity at the very tip of his fingertips, technique at the peak of his powers .... His place in the 2025 edition was obvious!

I sincerely consider Ryan to be a veritable phenomenon among the rising young pianists of recent years.
He began his career as soon as he won his first prize at our first Samson François International Competition in 2022, when he was just 14... Today, the greatest stages are clamoring for him, and he's racking up international distinctions.
Ryan is a young man who captivates his audiences. Why is that? It's all there when he "takes hold" of the piano... perfect technique, the right sensibility, charisma!
Thank you, Ryan, for being so loyal to Les Nocturnes du Piano, you've become our mascot at heart.
We're very proud and very happy to have you this year for the closing night of Festival 2025!

The jazz pianist

Rodolphe Menguy

Rodolphe Menguy is a young French pianist born in Paris on November 13, 1997. He began his studies at the CRR de Boulogne-Billancourt in the class of Gilles Berard, then Marie-Paule Siruguet, and obtained his DEM in Piano at the age of 14. In 2015, he was unanimously admitted to the CNSMD de Paris in the class of Denis Pascal and Varduhi Yeritsyan, where he completed his studies in the Diplôme d'Artiste Interprète Classique in 2022 after obtaining his Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
He was then admitted to the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, where he studied with Benedetto Lupo.
From a very young age, he benefited from a complete training, obtaining a DEM in Orchestration at the CRR de Boulogne-Billancourt, and Prix d'Harmonie (class of Fabien Waksman) and Prix d'Contrepoint (class of Pierre Pincemaille) at the CNSMD de Paris.
Rodolphe received the Prix Jeune Soliste des Médias Francophones Publics 2021, as a candidate presented by France Musique. He is also Laureate 2021 of the Fondation Banque Populaire, Laureate of the Fondation de l'Or du Rhin, Laureate of the French American Piano Society and was named Révélation Classique de l'Adami in 2018.
That same year, he was selected to be part of the Vivaldi promotion of the Académie Philippe Jaroussky.
Rodolphe performs regularly as soloist and chamber musician at prestigious festivals and venues: Festival de la Roque d'Anthéron, Folle Journée de Nantes, Festival Radio France Occitanie, Musicales de Normandie, Festival Pablo Casals, Opéra de Saint Etienne, Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord, Musée Guimet...
An inquisitive musician, Rodolphe has a wide repertoire, from Bach to contemporary works, including Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Brahms, Debussy, Ravel, Bartók, Stravinsky, Hindemith, Messiaen, Boulez...
A keen chamber musician, he performs in a variety of ensembles, forming a Duo with violist Nicolas Garrigues and a Trio with violinist Sarah Jégou-Sageman and clarinetist Joséphine Besançon.
Rodolphe has appeared on France Musique, Musiq3 - RTBF and Medici.tv. Through various Master Classes and Academies, he has received advice from leading musical figures such as Michel Béroff, Philippe Cassard, Hortense Cartier-Bresson, Bertrand Chamayou, Claire Désert, Nelson Goerner, Jean-François Heisser, David Kadouch, Stephen Kovacevich, Bruno Rigutto, Sir András Schiff, Emmanuel Strosser...
In 2022, Rodolphe made his debut at the Auditorium de Radio France and the Philharmonie de Paris - Cité de la Musique in Bartók's 2nd Concerto with the Orchestre des Lauréats du Conservatoire de Paris conducted by Quentin Hindley.
He released his first solo CD for the Mirare label on May 12, 2023, devoted to Liszt, Kodály and Bartók.

Nour Ayadi

Nour Ayadi, Moroccan pianist, began her musical training at the age of six in her native country, before pursuing her higher education in France, at the École Normale de Musique de Paris and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where she obtained the Diplôme d'Artiste Interprète. She also perfected her pedagogical training by obtaining the Diplôme d'État in Paris. From 2021 to 2023, she will be under the guidance of Nelson Goerner at the Haute École de Musique de Genève. Nour is also Artist-in-Residence at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth.

Awarded distinctions such as the prestigious Prix Cortot and nominated at the Victoires de la Musique Classique 2024, Nour is distinguished by a diverse musical career. Recent engagements include appearances at renowned festivals such as La Roque d'Anthéron, Folles Journées de Nantes, Festival Pianissimes, Biarritz Festival and Verbier Festival, consolidating her presence on the international scene. In 2025, it was awarded the Trophée Radio Classique.

In parallel with her musical career, Nour completed a Master's degree in Public Affairs at Sciences Po Paris, demonstrating her intellectual and artistic commitment and her curiosity about the world and its issues. Last May, she took part in the annual university conference on women's health in Singapore, demonstrating her interest in major societal issues.

Nour has collaborated with world-renowned conductors such as Petri Sakari, Augustin Dumay and Mikko Franck, as well as with prestigious orchestras including the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre Symphonique de Mulhouse, the Orchestre de Chambre de Wallonie and the Wiener Kammerorchester. She has recently performed alongside such renowned artists as Gautier Capuçon and the Quatuor Ebène.

Her engagements for the coming season include concerts at the Philharmonie de Paris and Geneva's Victoria Hall, where she will perform Beethoven's Choral Fantasy. She also distinguished herself by replacing Adam Laloum at short notice at Basel's StadtCasino, performing Mozart's Concerto K271 under Christophe Koncz.

Her second album with Scala Music, devoted to Schumann and Poulenc, received rave reviews, with 5 stars from Classica magazine and 3T from Télérama. In 2024, Nour was selected from over 500 candidates to take part in the Verbier Festival and the Maria João Pires Academy. She has also taken part in Masterclasses with András Schiff and Stephen Kovacevich. This year, Nour joins the Classeek program in Switzerland.

The poet-pianist

Philippe Bianconi

Since his success at the Van Cliburn Competition in the eighties, Philippe Bianconi has had an international career and pursued his musical career, patiently ploughing his furrow far from any media hype.

He has been praised for his playing "always going to the heart of the music and filling the space with life and poetry" (Washington Post); "His lyricism and his loftiness of vision . . . A powerful playing, which makes the piano sing even in strength and virtuosity... a colourful sound" (Le Figaro); "an extraordinary musicality and technical mastery that gives the music a freshness, immediacy and force of conviction rarely encountered" (The Times – London)

Trained at the Nice Conservatory by Madame Delbert-Février, then in Paris under the aegis of Gaby Casadesus, Philippe Bianconi then deepened his knowledge of the German and Russian repertoires in Freiburg-im-Breisgau with Vitalij Margulis.

First Prize at the International Jeunesses Musicales Competition in Belgrade in 1977 and at the Robert Casadesus International Competition in Cleveland in 1981, he won the Silver Medal at the Van Cliburn International Competition in 1985.

His first major recital at Carnegie Hall in New York in 1987 was highly acclaimed. Since then, he has performed in the most renowned concert halls, both in America (Orchestra Hall in Chicago, Kennedy Center in Washington, Philadelphia, Boston, San Francisco, Houston, etc.), in Europe (Wigmore Hall in London, Berlin Philharmonic, Konzerthaus in Vienna, Milan, Madrid, Hamburg, etc.), as well as in Japan, China and Australia.

Philippe Bianconi has also been invited by prestigious orchestras: Cleveland Orchestra, Chicago Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonie, Pittsburgh Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre National de France, Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Sydney Symphony ... under the direction of conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Kurt Masur, Christoph von Dohnanyi, Georges Prêtre, Michel Plasson, James Conlon, Marek Janowski, Gennadi Roshdestvensky, David Zinman, Yakov Kreizberg, Tugan Sokhiev....

He regularly collaborates with various French orchestras: Toulouse, Strasbourg, Lyon, Lille, Nice, as well as the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra. Philippe Bianconi has also participated in numerous festivals: La Roque d'Anthéron, Piano aux Jacobins, Piano en Valois, the Prades Festival, the Folle Journée de Nantes, the Menton Festival, the Messiaen de la Meije Festival, the Berlioz Festival and the Ravinia Festival in the United States.

Passionate about chamber music, he has had as partners Jean-Pierre Rampai, Janos Starker, Pierre Amoyal, Gary Hoffman, Tedi Papavrami, Xavier Phillips, as well as many quartets: Sine Nomine, Guarneri String Quartet, Parisii, Talich, Modigliani, Hermès.

From 1983 to 1990, Philippe Bianconi had an exceptional experience: Hermann Prey, at the height of his immense career, enlisted the collaboration of the young pianist. They have given numerous concerts together and have recorded Schubert's three great Lieder cycles, La Belle Meunière, Le Voyage d'Hiver, Le Chant du Cygne at Denon's.

In 2012, his recording of Debussy's Preludes on the La Dolce Volta label was acclaimed by the press and the public, and earned him a nomination for the Victoires de la Musique Classique, the Grand Prix de l'Académie Charles Cros, and a Diapason d'Or de l'Année.

His collaboration with La Dolce Volta continued with a Chopin disc in 2014 and a Schumann disc in 2016.

Two albums have just been released in September 2020. One dedicated to Debussy's Etudes has just been released, again for La Dolce Volta, the other is a recording of a concert given in 2019 at the Printemps de Arts de Monaco and contains Brahms' two piano concertos, with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Michal Nesterowicz.

From 2013 to 2017, Philippe Bianconi was the musical director of the American Conservatory of Fontainebleau (a French institution whose mission is to make French culture better known to foreign students in the combined fields of music and architecture), succeeding Philippe Entremont and Nadia Boulanger who trained the elite of American composers such as Aaron Copland, Elliot Carter, Virgil Thomson, Astor Piazzolla, Philip Glass, or Quincy Jones.

Since October 2018, Philippe Bianconi has been teaching at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris-Alfred Cortot.

Ismaël Margain

Ismaël Margain was born in Sarlat in 1992, where he began his musical training: piano, flute, saxophone, jazz, writing. He then entered the CNSMDP, where he worked with Nicholas Angelich, Roger Muraro and Michel Dalberto, among others, and obtained his Performer's Diploma in 2017. Since then, he has been under the guidance of Maria-João Pires.
In 2012, he won the Concours International Long-Thibaud, then was nominated in the "instrumental soloist revelation" category at the Victoires de la Musique Classique awards. Following these awards, Ismaël toured Latin America and the USA for a series of recitals and master classes, before returning to Europe to perform in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Bulgaria.
He is a regular guest at numerous festivals (Easter and Août Musical in Deauville, Piano aux Jacobins in Toulouse, Nohant Festival Chopin, l'Esprit du Piano in Bordeaux, Lille Piano(s) Festival, Festival de Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Klavier Ruhr Festival in Germany, All about piano in London...) where he performs solo, in chamber music (with Alexandra Soumm, Renaud Capuçon, Edgar Moreau, Bertrand Chamayou, Thomas Enhco, the Hermès and Hanson quartets, Mathilde Calderini ...) and as soloist with theOrchestre philharmonique de Radio France, theOrchestre national de Lille, theOrchestre national d'Île-de-France... He is also a regular on the finest Parisian stages (Philharmonie, Salle Gaveau, Auditorium du Louvre, Salle Cortot, Théâtre des Champs-Elysée...)
Ismaël Margain is an associate artist of the Fondation Singer Polignac, winner of the Yamaha Music Foundation prize, laureate of the Académie musicale de Villecroze, and supported by the Fondation Banque Populaire. In 2010, he formed a duo with Guillaume Bellom, with whom he recorded two four-hand CDs devoted to Schubert and Mozart on the Aparté/Harmonia Mundi label. He then made 3 live recordings for the B Records label: Mendelssohn in 2015, Schubert solo in 2017, and a 2-piano recital with Guillaume Bellom in 2018. Mezzo-soprano Ambroisine Bré invites him on her album "Psyché", released in 2021. The following year, he signs with Naïve Records: his first solo studio album, a Chopin / Fauré recital, is released in February 2023. A Mozart album entitled "Fantasy" was released in autumn 2024...
He is one of the four co-founders of RecitHall, a platform for capturing and streaming concerts, launched in 2020.

Ryan Wang

Ryan Wang, 16, from Vancouver, Canada, began playing the piano at the age of four and gave his first solo recital at the age of six. In 2013, he began his musical studies under the tutelage of Professor Lee Kum Sing and Dr. Sunsung Kong. He is currently studying on a music scholarship with Mr Gareth Owen at Eton College, UK, and received his Artist Diploma under Professor Marian Rybicki at the École Normale de Musique de Paris, France, in May 2024, being the youngest ever winner of the Prix Cortot.

Ryan pursues a busy concert career as a soloist and with orchestras worldwide, including Europe, Asia and North America. He has performed in many important and prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Fondation Louis Vuitton, Salle Cortot, the Ellen deGeneres Show, Fazioli Concert Hall, RTHK radio 4 (Hong Kong), CCTV 4 (China), CBC Music, live on FM96.3 Toronto's Radio Station at Zoomer Hall, and Radio Classique in France. He was invited to perform as part of the cultural component of Canada's participation in the APEC summit in Beijing in 2014, and was also invited to give a private recital at the home of Canadian Prime Minister Steven Harper. He has performed with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, the Toronto Festival Orchestra, the Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, the West Coast Symphony Orchestra, the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra and many others.

Among the prizes he has won are the 2022 "SAMSON FRANCOIS" International Piano Competition, the 2023 Jeune Chopin International Piano Competition in Switzerland, the 2023 Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists (senior group), the 18th Animato International Piano Competition in Paris Frédéric Chopin Edition in 2023, and the 2024 Bern Piano Prize. In 2017 and 2019, Ryan was awarded the Vancouver Academy of Music Emerging Artist Scholarship. In March 2023, at the age of 15, Ryan was the youngest musician to appear on UK radio station Classic FM's list of 30 brilliant Rising Stars, all under the age of 30. Ryan has also been included in the New Generation Piano 2022-2023 series with 3 other pianists (Bruce Liu, Alim Beisembayev, and Yunchan Lim) by the Louis Vuitton Foundation, and has been invited to give a solo recital in the Foundation's concert hall in Paris in 2023.
